Top 10 and Only in the Northeast: Why Central One is one of the Best Credit Unions to Work For in the U.S.

At Central One, we don’t just value our employees, we cherish them. Between a hybrid schedule, generous time off (nearly 3x the national average), and a fun, supportive culture, we’ve maintained consistently high staff retention rates. On August 18, 2025, American Banker released a list of 68 U.S. credit unions ranked as the “Best Credit Unions to Work For.” Out of those 68, Central One Federal Credit Union earned a spot in the top 10!  

Not only did we make the top 10, we’re also the only credit union in the Northeast to receive this prestigious recognition. We are incredibly honored to be recognized for our efforts in creating a great workplace.
