2026 Central One Scholarship Recipients

Higher education is invaluable. It provides students with the opportunity to explore their interests, prepare for a career, and grow into independent adults. But with increasing costs associated with earning a degree, reaching these milestones is becoming more difficult.

In fact, public, in-state tuition and fees have risen 19.54% since 2016, while private college tuition and fees have increased by 39.15%. And that’s not even considering room and board costs, which have also continued to rise.

Understanding the true cost of obtaining a degree is just as important as recognizing the value of higher education. That’s why each year Central One offers scholarship programs to help students achieve their academic goals and ease the financial burden of college.

Central One is excited to announce the recipients of its 2026 Student Member Academic Scholarship and Annual Academic Scholarship.

Matthew Crowley from Shepherd Hill Regional High School has been awarded the $1,500 Student Member Academic Scholarship.

The Annual Academic Scholarship recognizes graduating seniors from Algonquin Regional High School, Auburn High School, Doherty Memorial High School, Milford High School, Shrewsbury High School, and Westborough High School.

The 2026 Annual Academic Scholarship recipients, who each received a $1,500 scholarship, are:

  • Erin Bjorkman – Auburn High School
  • Summer Baisley – Milford High School
  • Emma Vidal – Algonquin Regional High School
  • Sabrina Welch – Shrewsbury High School
  • Alana McCarthy – Westborough High School
  • Jorgea Nico – Doherty Memorial High School

These recipients were selected based on their academic achievement, school involvement, community participation, and financial need.

At Central One, our philosophy is simple: people helping people. Through our scholarship programs, we’re proud to support local students as they pursue higher education and work toward their future goals. We congratulate this year’s recipients and thank all of the students who applied.

Central One wishes every applicant the very best as they embark on their college journeys.
