Courtesy Pay

Protect your checking account - with Courtesy Pay, you're covered!

What is Courtesy Pay?

  • Courtesy Pay is an overdraft privilege program that works with your checking account.
  • Courtesy Pay covers items that exceed your available balance in your checking account up to your approved limit for a low fee per covered overdraft transaction.
  • Courtesy pay protects your credit rating.

What items will Courtesy Pay cover?

  • Checks and ACH transactions - Eligible members are automatically enrolled.
  • ATM and Debit transactions - Requires that the member opt in to receive this benefit.

How does Courtesy Pay work?

  • Your personal Courtesy Pay limit is based on your account activity over a period of time
  • Courtesy Pay limits are re-evaluated on an annual basis
  • A fee is charged to your account for each covered transaction
  • Negative balance fees may also apply

What if I already have Overdraft Protection?

  • If you have other overdraft protection, such as a line of credit, or automatic transfer from your other accounts, we will continue to use those methods before we use Courtesy Pay.

Do I have to apply for Courtesy Pay?

  • For Courtesy Pay to cover checks or ACH transactions, no you do not need to sign up. If you are eligible, you are automatically enrolled.
  • If you want Courtesy Pay to also cover ATM and debit card transactions, you must opt-in to receive this benefit.

How do I qualify for Courtesy Pay?

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • No more than two 30-day late loan payments or one 60-day late payment in the last 24 months
  • Must have an account with us for 180 days and be a member in good standing.
